Freekuency Festival is a free, big party full of talented, free spirited people. You pay-as-you-like and enjoy live music, theater and many more events. It is held in April.
Boom Festival is held every two years. Each new edition of the festival arrives with a new theme. Art installations, music, visionary art are some of the happenings that will welcome you at this festival. It is held in July.
European Juggling Convention Even though the name may make you think that the event is only for jugglers, it is actually for anyone who is interested in circus arts. You don’t need to be a performer to join. You may just stretch or attend one of their free training classes. It is in July.
Andancas Dance Festival have a special focus on traditional dances of the world. People come from different countries to teach their traditional dances and offer workshops. It is in August.
Oceans and Flow Dance Journey is a dance festival in which you will dance in water and land. Its date is unknown.
European Yo-Yo Meeting is for yo-yo lovers. It is in April.
Awake Yoga Festival offers workshops on different styles of yoga. You will be singing mantras and learning from experts. It is held in June.
Portugal Contact Festival is a contact improvisation festival for anyone who is practicing or want to learn. They offer two weeks of dancing, relaxing and learning with like-minded people. It is in September.

Festa das Cruzes used to be a religious festival however today, it attracts anyone who is interested in circus performances, fireworks, good food… well, anything related to a big festival. It starts around the end of April.
Serralves em Festa is a free contemporary arts festival. They offer a two-day long non-stop program. It is in June.
Arraial Pride is Portugal’s largest gay pride event. It is also free entry and usually held in June.
