Solstice Festival is an electronic music festival held up close to the arctic circle to make the most of midsummer.
The festival organisers say:
‘Solstice is a gathering for people who enjoy music, art and nature, preferably combined. It takes place during midsummer in northern Finland next to the Arctic Circle. The festival site, Rukatunturi, is an arctic fell which rises half a kilometer above sea level, giving people picturesque views over pine trees and lakes.
That time of the year combined with the northern location means the sun doesn’t set at all, creating a unique atmosphere — a celebration of light and life.
The music is spread across three distinct stages, each with their own. unique vibe. The Peak hosts high-octane genre-free club sounds, where as down in the Valley, myriad forms of psychedelic, neuron-tingling sonics find a home. The Kelo tent is where one is primed to sit down and take it all in through a plethora of live performances and speciality DJ sets.’
