Here’s a small list of festivals and events in Malta:
Bubble Festival is a contemporary music and arts festival that offers many workshops and activities like guided nature walks. It is organized by the Bubble NGO, which is behind many events that support humanitarian causes. Last year it was in September and we’re looking forward to hear the 2019 dates.
Glitch Festival is a house and techno music event. They offer rooftop pool parties, secret cave raves with a quality line-up and captivating lighting and decor. Each year the festival ends with a boat party. It is held in August.

Other festivals and events in Malta that we can’t necessarily vouch for include:
Malta Jazz Festival is a “jazz” festival. Unlike many other jazz festivals which add some non-jazz music in between, they only present jazz performances during the 4-day event. It will be held in July.
Malta Fireworks Festival has some breathtaking firework presentations. They also host a ‘pyromusical competition’ in which the fireworks match the rhythm of a musical number. It starts on April 24th.
Nuit Blanche is an amazing event for night owls. It is a free, one night event in which the city lights up and music never stops. Visual and digital arts and literary events will also be present. It is held in October.
Birgu Festival offers some beautiful scenes with hundreds of candles sprinkled around the city. “Dinner by candlelight” will probably have a new meaning after this event. It is held in October.
