The Madrid Contact Improvisation Festival organizers say:
“We will work with strategies — mundane and magic — to diligently coordinate our bodies with physics as we practice being in and out of physical contact with one another in shifting constellations, configurations, and contexts. Technical skills will be central in order to activate truly improvisational dancing where agency, respect, and ferocity can be present. We will consider power/identity/history as we unpack ourselves into our dancing and beyond. Do we know what we are asking of ourselves and others within the dance? We are all breathing the same air. Let’s practice radical independence and responsible citizenship.”
